Information Collection And Use

You are not permitted to use an Avatar which is offensive or one that contains advertising.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

User Profile

Any and all data provided in your profile will be stored. Only registered users are able to view their profiles. No profiles can be viewed by either non-members or any member to whom that profile does not belong (site owner aside, who can view any registered profile). Any profile may need to be provided to a 3rd party in order to comply with GDPR.

Hackers and Spammers

I will report and publish any IP Address used to create/try to create Spam content on this site, including Member Account Applications and active Member Accounts that are subsequently used for posting Spam or other harmful/offensive content.


What is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small file that the server embeds on the user’s computer. Each time the same computer requests a page with a browser, it will also send the cookie.

Chrome users (and users of Chrome based browsers, such as Vivaldi) can use: chrome://settings/content/cookies and Firefox users can use: about:preferences#privacy in the address bar of said browser, then select the option Use custom settings for history.

With chrome-like browsers, you’ll see the option for ‘See all cookies and site data’. With Firefox, there’s a dropdown box for ‘History’. I’d also recommend that you ‘Block third-party cookies’. Other options, such as clearing the history and/or cookies when you close your browser, has to be a personal choice.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) that are not controlled by me. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

How long data is retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on this website, information provide at the time of registration and accessible via the user profile, is stored. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, with the exception of the username, which can not be altered in any way. Website administrators can also see and edit that information, with the same exception.
